Materials Warranty
Plus Construction BC Ltd. utilizes the highest quality aluminum “V” pan, aluminum insul-roofs, acrylic and polycarbonate panels and powder-coat finish aluminum extrusions in the installation of their patio covers and sunrooms. Manufacturer of aluminum components (Sheppards Building Products, Pacific Aluminum Products, CWX patio covers) warrants against cracking, chipping, peeling, blistering or loss of paint adhesion for a period of 10 years. Manufacturer of acrylic and polycarbonate components (Deglas Americas Inc.) warrants against reduction in light transmission for a period of 10 years from date of installation. All acrylic panels provide UV ray reduction and reduced heat transmission (percentage dependent on specific acrylic panel). Polycarbonate and acrylic materials are not sealed units and water can accumulate in them. Aluminum replacement components may be different in colour than original due to normal weathering and aging. This warranty does not apply to any material and/or workmanship which has been subjected to misuse, neglect, natural hazard, accident and/or which have been altered or adjusted by anyone and in any way, other than a certified Plus Construction BC Ltd. installer. This includes aggressive cleaning, dislodging sealants or damage caused by walking on the covers, light and heater installation and any kind of drilling. Vinyl waterproofing is warranted by the Deksmart Vinyl decking for 10 years for leakage. Wood is a natural product which can not be covered by warranty. Splitting, cracking and warping should be expected when installing wood products. These issues are not covered by warranty and will not be repaired or replaced for aesthetic purposes.
Installation Warranty
Plus Construction BC Ltd. warranty applies to the installation of the materials. All materials are installed according to BC Building Code snow load specifications and are guaranteed not to leak from rain or natural precipitation. Warranty does not cover issues from water droplets due to condensation build up whether natural or made by any kind of heating system. Workmanship is warranted for a period of 1 year from date of completed installation unless otherwise stated on the invoice or carbon copy contract. This warranty shall not apply to any workmanship or installation which has been subject to misuse, neglect, natural hazard, accident or which have been altered/adjusted by anyone other than a certified Plus Construction BC Ltd installer. Installation warranty does not apply in any way to the failure of building, deck, concrete pad, pathway, retaining wall or footings that the item may be attached to. This warranty is completely defined herein and to the extent permitted by law. The warranties provided in this Certificate are in lieu of all other warranties whether expressed, implied or statutory, including without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In no event will Plus Construction BC Ltd. be liable for any incidental or consequential damages. Your legal remedies are limited exclusively to the repair or the replacement of the workmanship or installation performed by Plus Construction BC Ltd. which are not as warranted.
